Godriam Tovou was a Ogsist merchant. A woman named Wakmag Masa gave birth to Kuldiaku's daughter Gonkonk Ges in Nkepu during the Summer of 1154. Kuldiaku's daughter was a Ogsist merchant. Wakmag was a Ogsist poet. Godriam's grandfather Kuldiaku Ges was a Ogsist merchant.

During the Autumn of 1155, Kuldiaku's daughter converted to Ogsism.

Godriam's father Anki Tovou was born in Aitsasho during the Spring of 1161. Godriam's father was a Ogsist farmer. Godriam's grandfather Zobou Thesta and Godriam's grandmother Bouzeld Tovou adopted Godriam's father.

During the Winter of 1161, Godriam's father converted to Gekism.
