During the Winter of 1011, at the age of 79, Ogem began a relationship with a man named Simbi Mbikmene, who was 73. He was a Gekist criminal. His and her relationship ended 7 years later, when she died from an illness.

During the Summer of 1013, Ogem adopted her son Eshathep Mbikmene with Simbi. Her son was a Gekist farmer.
