Tsaneba's father Jid Thir was born during the Winter of 588. Tsaneba's father was a Daibist poet. Tsaneba's grandfather Enoum Thir and Tsaneba's grandmother Hemiam Krethrobdou adopted Tsaneba's father.

During the Summer of 590, Tsaneba's father converted to Daibism.
