During the Autumn of 443, at the age of 25, Zalese began a relationship with a man named Bruksoutha Shosh, who was 33. He was a Daibist farmer. His and her relationship ended 4 years later, when she died from The White Plague.

During the Summer of 444, Zalese gave birth to Bruksoutha's daughter Doutzia Shosh. His daughter was a Daibist.

Zalese gave birth to Bruksoutha's son Iate Shosh during the Winter of 445. Bruksoutha's son was a Daibist farmer.
